Lock screen shortcut macbook pro4/13/2023 ![]() ![]() I've seen that some years ago, pressing the power button during 3 seconds pops up a menu for choosing what to do, but that also doesn't work in my case. If it isn't, is there a way to use it as another regular key in order to make a shortcut? (if I try to create a shortcut, pressing the Touch ID button does nothing) ![]() I can't believe that something like that is not possible, or at least configurable. I want to lock my mac by simply pressing the Touch ID button. (I also want to explicitly use the power button, I know I can add buttons to the Touch Bar).īy now, apart from using it as Touch ID, I can only use it to do a hard-turning off by pressing during 6 seconds or to access accessibility options by pressing 3 times fast. I know there are other shortcuts for doing that, but I want to be able to use the power button as such. I want to use the Touch ID button to sleep or to lock my 2017 Macbook Pro 13". I'm not sure if this has been asked before: ![]()
